The next meeting of the Bartlett CHARACTER COUNTS! Coalition will be on Monday, April 9, at 7:00 pm at the Bartlett Public Library District.
Winterfest
The Bartlett Nature Center, located at James “Pate” Philip State Park at 2054 W. Stearns Road, hosts a dog sledding demonstration on Saturday, February 11 from 12:00 – 4:00 pm.. Dog sledding, snow or no snow, the dogs are ready to go! Adopt A Husky will be at the Bartlett Nature Center with their teams of Siberian Huskies and sleds. Come watch as they run our 1/2 mile trail and learn about the history of dog sledding and the equipment they use. To ensure a safe and fun environment, please leave your own dogs at home. This demonstration and event is free and requires NO reservation or registration. This event is sponsored by Adopt A Husky, Comcast and Cabela's. Mardis Gras Celebration
Arts in Bartlett, Associated Bank, Banbury Fair, Forever After Antiques and Town Liquor and Foods are holding a Ladies Night Out on Friday, February 17, from 6:00 – 9:00 pm. Each business is selling Mardi Gras masks for $5, with proceeds going to the Hanover Township Food Pantry. The masks entitle the wearers to giveaways, discounts, activities and refreshments at the participating businesses.
Multicultural Open House
Families are invited to the Bartlett Public Library District on Saturday, February 18, from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm to enjoy stories and activities from around the world. Local author Ram Halady will share children’s stories from India. Other members are the community who wish to participate should contact Youth Services Librarian Kimberly Gotches at 630-213-5040.
The Amazing Adventures of Lewis and Clark
Face to Face Productions presents a show at the Bartlett Public Library District on Monday, February 20, at 1:00 pm. Vaudevillians Mel Lewis and Larry Clark join forces and tour the country telling the story of their namesakes Meriwether Lewis and William Clark. Ghosts of the Civil War in Bartlett
The Bartlett Historical Society presents a re-enactment at the Bartlett Public Library District on Sunday, February 26, at 2:00 pm. They will present the the lives of the English and German pioneers whose family members volunteered to serve in the Civil War and save the Union.
